Where your pay goes
This is an estimate. It leaves out mandatory health insurance (cost varies by your employer's chosen plan, so it can't be calculated from a fixed rate), other allowances and voluntary deductions. Your payslip is the final word.
How the deduction works
- Pension
- 5% of gross pay (your employer pays a matching 5%), up to a pensionable-earnings ceiling of CI$87,000 a year. There is no income tax in the Cayman Islands.
Pension rate and ceiling: confirmed against two independent Cayman Islands pension-plan sources under the National Pensions Law. See every grade's pay on the Cayman Islands pay scale page.
